On The Road Again. . .
Vol: 55 Issue: 21 Friday, April 21, 2006
Robin’s training is completed and I am pleased to announce that Robin Snotherly will be taking over many of the administrative duties so that we can being planning our road tour in earnest.
We left for North Carolina yesterday to take Robin home and get her set up in a home office. Last night, we stopped at a campground outside Charlottesville, Virginia. Utterly beautiful campsite, 7 miles off the beaten path, with a gorgeous private lake, lots of trees and altogether exactly what one might want in a campsite.
With the exception of cellular service, that is. And since I connect on the road via a Cingular Air Card, I wasn’t able to log on until we stopped at a rest area just inside the North Carolina line, where I am at this moment.
We continue to finalize our itinerary; our current plan is to begin with the OL gathering in Branson, Mo. that Nicole is setting up. I hope to speak with her once we get home and make sure I have the details straight — we will then post a page on the site with all the details we have so far.
Our current intinerary appears to be Missouri June 1-7, eastern Oklahoma June 7-21, and then on to East Texas. Dates will firm up as we line up speaking engagements, but we will keep you posted.
Pray that gasoline prices drop; it has cost us more than $200.00 so far to tow our camper the last 700 miles — 15 gallons of gas in Virginia cost me $55.00. To this point, that seems to be the only major obstacle — but it’s only money. This is the Lord’s tour and He has all we need.
Please forgive the brevity of this morning’s report — it has been a hectic couple of days and my mind is somewhat mushy this morning.
Thank you all for your indulgence and support. We are looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible over the next few months, should the Lord tarry.
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and THEN shall the end come.” (Matthew 24:14)
