Global Enemy #1

In an open letter to the leaders of the eight richest and most powerful nations, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan wrote that people in the developing world “have suffered disproportionately from the slowdown in the world economy, and they are also the primary victims of terror and violence.”

Then he reissued the same warning we’ve already heard from every Islamic terror apologist ever to get a public forum. “Even the richest and most powerful countries … are unlikely to achieve lasting security, either in the economic or the physical sense,” as long as billions remain poverty-stricken, Annan warned.

Is it only me? Or does anybody else hear “your money or your life” echoing not- so-subtlely from between the lines? It is a variation on the same theme issued by terrorists and their sympathizers the world over.

The theme, including Annan s variation, has been repeated so many times it isn t shocking. That fact alone is significant. Hitler s Big Lie Principle is validated here. Nobody actually hears what is being said. It gets absorbed as a warning and that somehow, it s our fault terrorists want to kill us. We re getting so used to that lie we don t even hear it anymore. Just the warning.

Reduced from an United Nations warning to a less grandiose stage, it sounds more like this.

Citizens of Muddville! As long as you work hard and prosper, you will have crime. There s nothing we can do about crime, we just have to live with it. Unless you pay off the criminals, are unlikely to achieve lasting security, either in the economic or the physical sense. Thank you. This has been your mayor speaking.

I don t know about you, but if I heard my mayor issue that statement, my immediate thoughts would be;

1) kinda sounds like the mayor is getting a piece of the action

2) I think the guy is nuts

3) now might be a good time to think about relocating outside his jurisdiction.

Similar thoughts crossed my mind as I read Annan s open letter to the G-8.

1) The UN is fronting for the Islamic extremist constituency that forms the largest voting bloc in the UN

2) his warning is accompanied by a bodyguard of lies; the Big Lie being that appeasing international terrorists is different than paying off a local mob syndicate.

3) now would be a good time for Washington to consider relocating outside his jurisdiction.

The United Nations has always been Islam s champion in the global arena. The Islamic dictatorships form the largest single voting bloc in the UN (given there are no genuine Islamic democracies) so it comes as no surprise that the UN itself has global dictatorial designs. The UN voting record makes clear what kind of world such a global dictatorship would impose on its subjects.

The Bible does predict a coming global dictatorship. Daniel says that its leader will be a prince of the revived Roman Empire. But before the antichrist can seize the reins of global power, someone must first hitch up the team.

We continue to observe that operation in progress on many levels. While the UN isn t Europe, it grows increasingly difficult to tell them apart. Europe believes itself more than qualified to rule the world. During the Colonial era, it had lots of practice.

The UN has the means, but not the leadership. Europe believes it has the leadership, but not the means. The US, which has both, is preoccupied fighting a war with shadows. Consequently, such calls for appeasement have a seductive appeal.

Especially when some of those shadows fall across the halls of power in both Brussels and UN headquarters.

When asked what would be the sign of His coming, and of the end of the age , Jesus spoke of wars and rumors of wars, ethnic unrest and international conflict.

Jesus applied a universal measure He likened them to birth pangs. Those signs were the same in Jesus’ day as now as labor pains grow closer together and increase in intensity, it is a certain sign of impending delivery.

An escalating series of wars, rumors of wars, ethnic unrest, international conflict sounds like today s newspaper.

Taken together with the climactic changes wreaking havoc with the global harvest, the potential risk of biological warfare and the undeniable and steady increase in global seismic activity in each of the past five decades, and you have a complete picture.

The same picture painted by Jesus in his reply to the following question:

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Matthew 24:3
